Makeup Using Naked 3

Posted by FeelingBeautiful at 6:17 AM 1 comments

The Urban Decay Naked 3 palette is one of my favorites and also my go to eyeshadows.

The other night, I went out with my family for my grandfathers 89th birthday party!  I wanted to look natural since I was with my family and just going for dinner and didn't want to go too crazy on my makeup.  The Naked 3 palette is a great palette if your looking for neutral colors and want to stick to looking natural.

What I Used
- MAC strobe cream
- Smashbox photo finish primer
- Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
- MAC pro long wear concealer in NW20

Eyes
- Urban Decay eye primer potion
- Naked 3: Nooner (on the crease)
- Naked 3: Buzz (on the eyelid)
- Naked 3: Darskide (Outer V)
- Naked 3: Dust (tear duct & under brows)

Lips
- MAC plushglass lip gloss in "Viva Glam VI"

Cheeks
- MAC blush in "Warm Soul"
-Nars highlighter in "Albatross"

  • The picture on the right is my sister in law carly & I out to eat for my grandfathers dinner.
  • I ended up just teasing my hair for more volume in my hair.
  • Just wanted to show you my finished look.  I ended up changing shirts that night since in these two pictures I have different shirts on.

Hope you like the look :)

Studio Gear Hydrating CC Color Correcting Cream

Posted by FeelingBeautiful at 1:37 PM 0 comments

(Studio Gear: CC Cream* in "Natural" - $34)

First I would like to state that this is a sponsored post.  I can not be any happier that I was able to try this product out.  I always liked BB creams just for days where I was to lazy to do my makeup and did not want to put much makeup on.  This is actually my first time trying a CC cream and actually even hearing about a CC cream so I was very excited to try this out.

About The Product

"Hydrating CC Cream transforms and enhances your complexion in an incredibly light, smooth formula. This foundation simultaneously fights aging, retains moisture, and covers and treats blemishes with a non-oily, perfectly radiant finish." It offers up to 72 hours of hydration

Key Benefits
  • Prevents fine lines and wrinkles with collagen building ingredients.
  • Restores skin elasticity by promoting moisture retention.
  • Brightens and illuminates skin with a non-oily, complete coverage application.
The Hydrating CC cream is offered in three colors as shown in the above picture: Linen, Natural, and Wheat.

The Review

When I first put this on my hand, I had to recheck the color on the box because I thought I got a completely wrong color!  I did not expect it to come out of the tube white.  I then dabbed some spots on my face and blended it in with my beauty blender.  It didn't smell that bad but it doesn't have a chemical kind of scent to it.  As I blended it in, I noticed it that the white color started to blend into my skin.  It's a color matching formula.  I have never tried anything like this before.

Yesterday morning I put on the Studio Gear Hydrating CC Cream.  I went on smooth and easy but I was not impressed with the coverage.  I still had a little bit of redness and some marks that were very noticeable.  With my BB cream, I am able to just leave my house with it on but with this CC cream, I felt like it didn't do the job for me.

This morning though, I gave it another try again.  In the directions on the box they state: "Apply daily over moisturizer or by itself, as needed wear alone or under foundation.  So I tried wearing it with the foundation.  I put my primer on and then on top of the primer I put the Hydrating CC Cream and then my Naked foundation from Urban Decay and it gave me a really nice flawless look.  It kept my face feeling moisturized and hydrated.  This item is more as a tinted moisturizer for me.

This product did last long on my face and kept my face feeling hydrated through out the day.

The only downside to this items was that lack of coverage.  I will definitely be using this product though under my foundation since my skin is dry in the winter.

I wouldn't let my opinion of this product stop you from looking at their website because they have other amazing products to check out: http://studiogearcosmetics.com/shop/best-sellers/hydrating-cc-cream/

*Also my readers get a 10% off discount on their shopping cart with the code "bloggercc".

Go and take advantage of that deal!

Has anyone else tried the Hydrating CC Cream? What did you think about it?

MAC PlushGlass

Posted by FeelingBeautiful at 7:52 AM 2 comments
MAC PlushGlass in "Viva Glam VI" & "Ample Pink"

I wasn't always a fan of lip glosses.  They were too sticky for me and I didn't enjoy wearing them.  In December, I took a trip to New York City for the day with my mother and sister in law and we went over to the MAC store.  I ended up getting my whole makeup done there! When the guy who was doing my makeup came over to me with lip glosses in his hand, I though to myself "what is he nuts!" He said to just try it, so I did.  It seriously changed me. It was comfortable for me to wear. I ended up buying the "Ample Pink" and then my mother bought the "Viva Glam VI" for herself.  Yeah, I ended up taking it.

These lip glosses are not sticky at all! They are my go to's and I have worn them everyday since I got them.  I rarely wear lipstick anymore and if I do wear lipstick, it has the "Ample Pink" on top of it.

When I first put it on, it feel like a cool warm feeling on my lips. It also moisturizes and soothes my lips which is a plus! Also it contains vitamin E for environmental protection.

I am sorry for the lighting of this picture and the shadow of myself in the way. On the left side is the "Viva Glam VI" and on the right is the "Ample Pink".  They are both similar in color, just the "Viva Glam VI" is a dark pinkish color with shimmer in it.

This is the "Ample Pink". This could be worn with anything!

                                       "Viva Glam Vi"                                "Ample Pink"

In these photos, you can see the difference in the darker color and the shimmer in the "Viva Glam VI".

If you would like to check the other colors that MAC has in their Plush Glass section, click here.

Have you guys ever tried any of the MAC Plush Glass? What is your favorite? Let me know by commenting on this blog post. I would love to check out any other colors. (:

March 2014 ipsy Bag

Posted by FeelingBeautiful at 9:40 AM 0 comments

So I got my March ipsy glam bag in the mail yesterday! I always get excited when I see that pink package in my mailbox (: It's like i'm a little girl getting a new barbie doll, well at least I was excited when I always got one.

An ipsy glam bag is a subscription you pay $10 for every month that you can cancel at anytime or $110 for a full subscription of the year.  You get 4 to 5 products inside a cute makeup bag.  Some of the items they give you are sample sizes or full sizes.  If you love makeup and want to try anything thats out there, get this subscription.  It's amazing and such a good deal!

Okay, now lets get started!

This is the makeup bag this month that all of my items came in.  It is adorable!

These were all the products above that I got in my March ipsy glam bag.

(Nicole by O.P.I - $6.99 at Ulta)

In my ipsy bag, I got the Nicole by O.P.I nail color in "On What Grounds".  It is fro their roughles collection that is new. "On What Grounds" is a gorgeous turquoise color.  There are 3 other colors in the roughles line.  You also have a pretty light purple color (I'm Stucco On You), a pink color (Rock The Look), and a yellowish orangish color (Sand In My Shoe).  Where do they come up with these awesome names!? I did have to put two coats on my nails, but I would definitely check this line out.

(BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick - $18)

I got a sample sized BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in the color "Get Ready".  I have never tried the BareMinerals lipsticks before.  I never was a fan of BareMinerals at all, but this lipstick, I have to say I am a fan of.  It's a really pretty not so dark pink color.  It looks really nice for the spring.  Definitely try a sample of it! You can go find this lipstick here.

(Pixi Mini Flawless Beauty Primer - $9 original size - $22)

The Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer evens the skin tone and gives your a youthful healthy glow.  You would put this on before your foundation.  The pearl extract ingredient in this primer protects your skin and is anti-aging.  It also hydrated my skin when I tried it out, gave me nice glow, and my makeup did stay on for a while.  You can find this product at their site, just click here.

 (Be A Bombshell Cosmetics eyeshadow - $16)

The last item I received was the Be A Bombshell eyeshadow quad in "Bora Bora".  I really don't play around with colors like these but I just love that red color and the copperish color.  They are very pigmented.  If you want to check the rest of the colors out, check on their site by clicking here

The total of all the items that I received in my March bag was $42.99.  I only payed $10 for this months bag.  It's a great deal what ipsy does.  Great subscription to get.  If you would like to get a subscription or check out the ipsy site, just click here

Are you subscribed to ipsy already? What did you get in your March glam bag?

Celebrity style inspiration

Posted by FeelingBeautiful at 8:30 AM 4 comments

Seriously, look at how gorgeous Selena Gomez is!  She is my celebrity inspiration.  She could put anything together and make it look amazing on her.  She is always wearing that bold color lipstick and the bold smokey eye look.  I understand she has makeup artists and people to pick out everything for her, but when she is just around and just shopping with friends, her outfits still look great on her.  She isn't like the other celebrities at her age, for example Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus.  They grew up to be trouble.

Selena helps out children with an organization called UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund).  UNICEF works in more than 190 countries to save and improve children's lives, providing them water, health care, nutrition, etc.

Selena has the gorgeous long brown thick hair that girls would love to have.  The outfit shown about is a black t-shirt under a white blazer with a pair of dark washed skinny jeans with a pair of leopard high heels.  I just love her style!

My MAC and Sigma Wish List!

Posted by FeelingBeautiful at 8:32 AM 2 comments

So for the past two months, I have been really loving these items from MAC and Sigma.  Money is a little hard for me right now, so these have been on my wish list for a bit.  I will one day have these items! MAC is an all time favorite brand of mine and Sigma brushes are a just must need right now for me since my brushes that I have are old and not so good.

1.  MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in "Soft and Gentle"
I have heard so many people rave about this.  It is great for a highlight. I have seen many videos on YouTube of people using this product and it looks absolutely amazing!

2.  MAC Prep & Prime Highlighter in "Light Boost" or "Radient Rose"
The Prep & Prime highlighter.  I believe this is on everyones wish list!  This is a must need if you a looking for a great highlighter to put on top of your concealer.  I use the MAC pro long wear concealer and I have seen Jaclyn Hill on YouTube use that concealer and put this on top of it, and it's flawless.  It gives such a nice bright under eye look.  This will be one of the top items I will be buying first on this wish list.

3 & 6.  MAC eyeshadows in "Amber Lights" and "Coppering"
These colors together are absolutely beautiful and would look great with any eye color.  They are high pigmented.  I have seen these also used on Jaclyn Hill and it looks great! These also will be one of the items I buy first from MAC.

4.  MAC Powder Blush in "Peaches"
I just love this color especially when I am contouring my face.  I feel it would look amazing with the contour.  It's not to red and not to pink, it's just a perfect peachy color.  Exactly what I want!

5.  MAC Shaping Powder in "Emphasize"
I have not found a great under eye setting powder yet and I have used the Ben Nye Banana Powder and I have to say I am not a fan.  After I have seen Jaclyn Hill (yes, I watch her a lot on YouTube.  She is basically my idol. Haha) use this on top of the highlighting pen, it just finishes off that under eye highlighted look and it's flawless, and absolutely gorgeous!  This will be another item that I will be purchasing first when I get a chance.

7 & 8.  Sigma Kabuki Brush Set & The Sigma F35 Tapered Highlighter Brush
So like I said before, I NEED NEW BRUSHES!  The Kabuki Brush Set would be great for blending, putting on my foundation, and putting on my concealer.  The F35 Tapered Highlighting Brush would be great to put on my setting powder for under my eyes and also to help put the highlighter on.  I have seen many YouTubers use these brushes and it looks beautiful and easy to use.  People have raved about these brushes.

This is only my MAC and Sigma wish list.  I have many more other items that I would love to purchase from Benefit, Too Faced, Anastasia, and many others.  If you have any other recommendations that is a must have that I should take a look at, comment below.   I would love to check anything out!

Has anyone tried any of these items? What do you guys think of them? Also I would love to hear what is on your wish list.

ipsy February 2014 Blam Bag!

"The Look of Love"

ipsy's February glam bag!

Hey beauties!

ipsy is a beauty community where you can learn new beauty tricks from their beauty stylists from their looks every month.  If you subscribe to their glam bags, you will receive 4 to 5 samples or full-sized beauty products.  It's a great deal for only $10 a month or $110 for a full years subscription!! Shipping is also free in the US!! Shipping in Canada is $4.95 per month.

When you first sign up, they have you take a quiz and it asks you different questions of what you like and prefer with your beauty products and also asks questions about yourself.  Each glam bag is made just for YOU!

  • To sign up for yours, go too: http://www.ipsy.com/r/5kz9

This months glam bag was called "The Look of Love" based on Valentines Day for the month of February.

In my glam bag based on what I chose in my quiz, and also what was made for me I ended up with:

POP Beauty
Plump Pout Mini

I can't even tell you how excited I was to get this color in my bag.  I usually only wear lip gloss on my everyday look. The color I received is called "Fuchsia Freesia".  This lip gloss does not even feel sticky on your mouth and that's a big thing for me.  If it's sticky, it's getting thrown away!  The only down side to this lip gloss was that it smelled funny.  The price for the lip gloss at POP beauty is $16.

*If you would like to take a look at more of POP beauties makeup, what colors they have in their lip glosses, and also interested in this lip gloss, go over to their website:  http://www.popbeauty.co.uk/

Tini Beauty
Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow + Base in One

At first I wasn't sure how I was going to like this creme eyeshadow.  I love the color that I got, which is the color "Violette" which is a purpleish color, but I am not a fan of creme eyeshadow.  I gave it a try one day just to review it and it was easy to apply and went over my eye and was easy to blend well and it was a gorgeous color but if you went over it a little more, some of it would wipe off, so try not to go over it as much with your fingers especially.  It did stay on long though.  The price for this creme eyeshadow is $18.

These are swatches from both the POP beauty lip gloss and the Tini Beauties creme eyeshadow.  The pinky color on the bottom is the POP beauty lip gloss and on top of that is the Tini Beauty creme eyeshadow.  ( Sorry about the poor quality)

*If you would like to check out Tini Beauties website or would like to purchase this eye shadow, you can head over to their website:   https://www.tinibeauty.com/category/eyes/

Zoya
Nail Polish

The color I received was "Dot".  I have never heard of Zoya before so I was not sure what to expect with this.  This nail polish is great and if I come across this brand again, I will make sure to definitely buy some other colors.  The price for this nail polish is $9.

This photo of the nail polish doesn't even do justice for how gorgeous this color is.  It is one of my new favorite spring nail polish colors!  I really recommend this to everyone!

*If you would like to see more about the brand Zoya or would like to purchase this nail polish color, visit their website:  http://www.zoya.com/

J.Cat Beauty
Eyelashes + Eyelash Glue

I got these eyelashes in EL43.  I have yet to try these eyelashes out but I am so excited to try them out for a night.  I feel these are perfect for the night out.  This retails at $3.99.  I don't wear eyelashes, but I usually wear them on special occasions or if I am going out for the night with a bunch of friends.

*If you want to view their website or purchase these beauties:  http://jcatbeauty.com/index.php?route=common/home

skyn ICELAND
Fresh start Mask with Ice Age Mud

I do love to try out masks and I am so excited to try this one out.  You are only suppose to leave this one for 10 minutes and to do it once a week.  It re-texturizes your skin.  It is a detoxing and brightening mask.  There are two phases to this mask.  This mask retails at $39.00 for a full size but a little sample like this would come out to be $6.50.

*If you would like to check out skyn ICELAND website or purchase this mask:  http://www.skyniceland.com/

All of my items came in this little makeup bag from ipsy which is such a great idea to store everything.

The value of this makeup bag came out to be $53.49! That is amazing for just spending $10 a month on a ipsy glam bag.  I would really recommend subscribing to ipsy if you really love your beauty products like I do!
